I couldn’t figure out how to customize my character outside real money purchases...so that was a bit of a turnoff. In fact, (and I realize this is not a finished game) there is not a lot of clarification on how to do anything within the game itself. That being said, I’ve had fun in it. I even made to 9th once, which

Any pictures of the skin mentioned in this article?

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I was actually thinking about that last night and trying to remember when snow started in New Leaf, realized they go off actual winter.

That’s what I don’t get. Animal Crossing has always been a fetch quests with timers on everything. Plant some seeds? Gotta wait a day. Building your house? Gotta wait a day. Building a bridge? Gotta wait a day. Need more fruit? Gotta wait a day. Want new store options? Gotta wait a day. Waiting for that new neighbor

Isn’t the whole game grindy?

Vault Space is one of my biggest needs. They are adding armor and guns, but I have nowhere to put them...

I used all my tickets on Nightfalls...so I can’t even do that anymore

That’s exactly how I felt about GotG2. I didn’t feel that exhausted by the barrage of jokes in Ragnarok though. Maybe because the jokes (while frequent) usually had a different feel. Each character’s gags were a bit different in how they were told, or how they were acted.

Meanwhile you had GotG2 where everyone was

There’s a “Multiverse” connected by Ultra Wormholes. Rumor is, this Giovanni is from a Red/Blue/Green timeline where he wasn’t defeated, and found a way to harness Ultra Wormholes. He then went through and collected other bosses from timelines where they won-Original Archie/Maxie, BW Ghetis (not BW2 based off outfit),

I walked in to a Target yesterday in Seattle and they had 6 sitting on the shelf. All these alerts had me thinking they were still rare in the wild.

I believe you’re referencing “Glimmer,” that’s used when up infusing items to make them higher. Applying shaders or mods. Purchasing gear from NPCs (like the green gear Hawthorne has). Possibly other uses I can’t think of at the moment.

The demo is just the first hour to two of the game and then it tells you to purchase the full title once you hit the limit.

I played the demo and was really sad this wasn’t coming out until now. I was really wanting to play this while flying to and from Europe. Unfortunately Destiny 2 is going to eat all my time for the foreseeable future. But maybe I’ll grab this once I get bored or need a change from shooting aliens.

I believe Fire Emblem Heroes has a store so that you can buy more heroes (I could be wrong though, I only played it briefly). For some reason I thought Miitomo had them, but they don’t appear to be there anymore if they did, so maybe I was wrong. I was also lumping Pokemon Shuffle in that, though I guess technically

I don’t mind cosmetic microtransactions like you mentioned. The armor, emotes, bikes and shaders they did in Destiny 1, whatever, didn’t hurt anyone and they were eventually obtainable through gameplay. Additionally, they were yours to keep and usable across all characters (regardless of how you obtained them).

However,

Careful, Nintendo mobile games are all about Microtransactions...just a matter of time before they bring it in to their other consoles.

I’d definitely love a collection system where you spend glimmer to repurchase shaders that you’ve obtained in game before. That’d be ideal.

As it is, I excitedly got my first shaders last night while playing, and immediately decided that I needed to save them since I’d likely get a better piece of armor in the next 5

It was just a small addition, the slideshow would’ve been great without too, but it definitely made it something so much greater.

Destiny’s reddit is pretty lit over the revelation that Shaders are a one time use, seemingly to get people to buy them in Eververse. Might be worth a story...
