A lot of cars sold in the US can reach 60mph in 2nd gear because one less shift makes their 0-60 times look better. Sometimes the overly long 2nd gear makes the car less fun to drive... but the marketing department gets better numbers to work with.

Hockey officiating is what makes me turn the television off. It’s less like a professional sport and more like professional wrestling. At least in wrestling, the official flags the wrong person because it was scripted. In hockey, the officiating is just that bad.

Keep in mind that pace is deliberate. If you’re calling the company, you’re going to cost them money. When the automated system is brutally slow, some people hang up. Those people have decided that their refund/billing error/problem isn’t worth the hassle.

Opioids are not an appropriate treatment for chronic pain. Multiple studies have shown a decrease in effectiveness against chronic pain and an increase in pain sensitivity when chronic pain is treated with opioids.
I have caught air in several cars, several times, but one time in particular stands out. It was a dry, sunny day in late fall. I was driving a straight, unpopulated country road in the exurbs of Philly. I knew the road well and had driven it many times in my old 1996 Nissan 200SX SE-R.
