I'm just merely contesting this narrative people have built up of her fame being entirely the result of trolls. It's a farce. Her fame is the result of widespread endorsement by the gaming press, and the general climate of gender controversy awareness that was created by the gaming press; especially Kotaku.

Those are two different things. Her fame is the result of Kotaku, and widespread media endorsement. Nothing else.

We'll never know, but that's not 100% certain. Sarkeesian's project was pitched after Kotaku had been aggressively running gender gaming articles for over a year. It's entirely possible that they would have found it anyway. We'll never know.

They can make the comics though. I'm talking about artists who are drawing on tumbler. If they just got a writer and coordinated a tiny bit, they could have made an issue of a new series that does things the way they want it instead of this.
