@Bleemo: On the PC European RPGs are a subgenre. From Gothic to The Witcher.

@Deanb: One of the reasons I loved Shenmue was how Japanese it was. It had people who looked Japanese. Not anime. And the 2nd game had subtitles.

@Altima NEO: MS didn't have any competition. Without competition you get IE6 for 8 years. Since Firefox you have IE7, IE8 and IE9 next year.

@AncientUnknown1: I would like to see a JRPG with CRPG sensibilities.

This does happen. My friend was playing UNO in the early days of the 360 and a girl flashed her bewbs. Everyone paused and had a deer in headlights look on their face. I can now get how a male driver can get into a car accident because he got "distracted".

I played PC games before all the developers jumped ship and made Western console games awesome. There was never a time when I thought Japanese games were outright better. Western games were always awesome.

Wow. Did not see that coming. Excellent article!

@Gouki4u: Jon Irenicus is still my favourite Bioware villain. I don't think of him as a villain as much as a character in the world who happened across your hero.

Cats are awesome. That is all.

@Archaotic: Exactly what I wanted to say. What better way to make people notice your generic game than to attach an old-school name to it? I'm looking at you Golden Axe Beast Rider. Shame on you.

Poor Yu Suzuki.

This was the only game one of my friends would play on PC. He hates playing games on PC but he loves football more.

This is going to be EPIC!

I still own this game. Could not finish it because of my dislike for escort missions in general and constant loading.

@DoktorFunkenstein: Looking at the state of gaming today it's not far fetched to assume it could be dumbed down.

@fuchikoma: In one of the oil fields in Saudi Arabia that are in the middle of the desert they have sirens for when it reaches 60 so everyone goes inside. I knew a guy once who worked there.

Doom cover on an Epic game. And id were Epic's biggest rivals before all this console business started?
