Me too, I give store brands a chance, but sometimes they just suck. My personal example is H-E-B's Hill Country Muffin Mix. It comes out all rubbery and is not worth the 10 cent savings. Best to just get the Martha White mix. Of course once I master muffins from scratch, even Martha will go too.

you'd be wasting energy and time using a pizza stone just to make a quesadilla. any wide enough pan will accomplish the task. the tortilla is already cooked, all you're doing now is toasting it. a pizza stone will char it almost instantly.
