This has been a question of mine for all BEVs. I’d like to see some OE’s put work into alternate seating/cargo arrangements to give provisions for added capacity. Knowing full well it will require additional cooling, fans, wiring, etc, the software / hardware interface shouldn’t be that large of a design exercise.

I really can’t think of a possible reason we’d ever need that kind of real estate for a screen in a driver piloted car.

This is only done to allow overfilling of the trans. without added coolers or anything on the side of that adding an extra quart of lube over the fill hole allows for better lubrication and a little additional thermal mass to absorb heat.
Late 01 and 02 are Dana’s still. In the third gens they went to AAM axles spring perch spacing changed as did the brakes and just about everything else on the rears.
Keep an eye out I’ve done the swap on a friends truck. 01.5+ trucks had disk brakes so you can swap that under directly. You’ll need to change one of the park brake cable lengths outside of that, everything else is the same.
