I'm guessing they just don't want it labeled "domestic violence" because domestic implies that the violence is happening between family members. And God help us all if we start thinking of a same sex couple as a family, I guess.

Oh, this makes me sad, seeing as his parents' died when he was so young. I know what he means though, it's hard for me to watch any movies where the Dad dies.

What's wrong with spoon style's classification? It's a sex position, no?

I'm confused about why oral is a #1 seed but 69 is #12? Doesn't 69 offer all the benefits of oral but times 2? Maybe I just don't understand how seeds work...

I took many Barnard classes when I was at Columbia, and they were all awesome. I found the anti-Barnard attitude baffling back then, and it's just shameful now.

It's true, he just looks dewier some how. I actually prefer the older one though, so I guess there's something to be said for age.

I'd say the ticket to a good sex life is to stop worrying about what anyone else says sex is supposed to be like. Everybody from Cosmo magazine to Hollywood to Rick Santorum has an opinion on what makes good sex. But nobody else is you, and none of them know what you need or what will make you happy. Good luck

Maybe it was the placebo affect, but seabands kind of helped. Pregnancy nausea is the worst.

Tabula Rasa! I always liked Buffy but I never bothered with Angel because I didn't like his character on Buffy. I hear he's better on his show - a little less Broody McDourface boring guy. Is it worth a second chance?

What's wrong having a life filled with parents' significant others? My step-mother and step-brothers were great additions to the family. After my Dad passed away it just meant I had more family to lean on for support. Family doesn't always come in a perfect looking package, and sometimes that's a good thing.

I'm creeped out by him because of the domestic violence allegations. But also yeah, because he looks like he'd be perfectly cast as a charming sociopath.

Could it be a purposeful thing to force people to RSVP? I've heard of people doing that.

I don't even get this advice. Once you're in a long term relationship it's not like love is completely uniform over time. I really doubt there was ever a time when my husband and I felt EXACTLY the same amount of love for each other, at EXACTLY the same time. Sometimes he's more into me, sometimes I'm more into

It's complicated stuff. And extra confusing when people talk about how this presidential administration is passing laws that allow the detention of American citizens and things like that. But it was Congress that passed those laws. Unfortunately, Obama gave them his stamp of approval when he failed to veto them.

I would worry about the election of a Republican president, but I would not worry about the outlaw of Islam. Like chritter said, our Constitution protects against that explicitly in its language. For all the "most powerful man in the world" talk, the president just doesn't have the power. The president isn't

I went to Georgetown Law and had a great experience. I wish I liked being a lawyer half as much as I liked law school. =/

Welcome to the club! It's been pretty good so far, but then, I'm looking forward to 30.

Don't take it personally. It really is just a terrible time to be a lawyer, and most of us are really bitter about it. It can manifest in assholish ways. Hopefully the situation will improve by the time you graduate.

Insane. I have never had a problem with anyone about not changing my name! This makes me worried about ever moving because maybe it's some kind of regional thing. In my circle of friends, the married women I know who kept their name definitely outnumber the ones who changed it, by a lot. It's DC, it's a city full

I feel sad for the wife, but this story actually kind of pleases me. Go for it, man. It's never too late to start fresh. Life's too short to stay in a situation that makes you miserable.
