Well, if lets say the barrier had been placed perpendicular to the lane, sure. But in this situation, the barrier was not really in the travel lane, so, no, it shouldn’t have continued straight or stopped. It should have moved over like all the human drivers did.

Both sides ARE bad and put being in power over doing right by their constituents pretty much every time. They talk a good game to their bases but with a few exceptions, they fall in line when they get to DC and take turns screwing us all over. It’s always a choice between bad and less bad. Though this time, Trump took

They chose to insure a car with these half baked driving aids that are not ready and they own all the issue that arise from them, IMO.

I already have blind spot monitors, I call them properly adjusted side mirror and the ability to look around.

Man, this specific condition is going to be pretty difficult on any system that uses cameras. The old lane divider lines were not completely removed by a long shot. They were probably at least 50% still there and the yellow line went straight into the barrier. The new pattern was using the small dashed lines so the

What would have happened if the computer suddenly applied absolute max braking in this scenario? Would have been a massive pileup and all the people behind would be at fault. Leaving enough distance for a persons typical reaction to things and a computer that can instantly decide and make a potentially nonsensical

I thought they had a couple of templates back then and he was able to make the car meet them and still be way off in other areas. I did some checking and there is quite a bit of conflicting info out there about this car. Probably well suited given his genius and all the things he did to bend the rules or operate where

I’ve had good luck with Lucky. Also, Nordstrom Rack is an excellent place to get some good men’s clothes. Got a couple pair of Luckys there myself and a shitload of shoes.

I’ve honestly done pretty much what the Sequoia did hundreds of times. But I’d still be liable to be ticketed if a cop wanted to make an example. It’s also pretty douchebaggy to close the gap like the cop appears to AFTER the Sequoia makes his move. If you want to keep people out, you have got to stay tight all along.

I posted pretty much the exact same thing.

Yeah, jerkiness on both sides there. But end of the day, the Sequoia was wrong. I’d like to think the cop would be decent enough to explain to the Sequoia what they did wrong and give them a warning.

He probably knew enough to spell envelope correctly. ;)

So true!

I’m the opposite. But, the syste,s ive seen with CarPlay or android auto are totally optional. You can still do Bluetooth and never use that function.

It’s not the same as the phone, it’s actually simplified to make it easier to use while driving and only a few apps are supported so people aren’t doing Facebook over it or anything.

And that’s the whole reason why carmakers suck at infotainment even when they try hard and make a good system. Takes 3 years to design a car, then it’s sold for 5-6 years and then people keep them for up to 10 years, maybe longer even. Best case is you drive around with 3-5 year old tech. Worst case, almost 20.

When you plug in the device or start the car with it plugged in, it starts on the apple maps screen.

And even Apple maps downloads the directions for the whole way when you start a route. It won’t show the map updating but the line and directions are there and it tracks with GPS. hopefully they will do a downloadable area like google does though as if you start a trip with no signal, it doesn’t work.

That’s exactly what I did when I bought a car 3 months ago.
