This looks just about show-ready for its debut as Twilight Batman’s next Batmobile.

The biggest issue with the Detroit Auto Show is its in Detroit. If this was New York, LA, Miami, Vegas even, they’d still attract a host of vendors and crowds. Sure, debuts at auto shows may be a thing of the past or die down in favor of more boutique-style affairs for debuting new models or innovations. But in terms

I don’t see Lucid, MB, or any of these car companies overtaking Tesla. Tesla has something that none of them have and none of them can never have. Elon. Elon is a walking, talking, tweeting PR spokesperson for Tesla who also happens to own Tesla. He is charming and witty, almost like a Patrick Bateman, except without

For a car company not doing so well, they sure do churn out supercars like they’re going out of style. Coulda fooled me. They’re like iPhones. As soon as the new one hits the market, it’s already obsolete.

If you’re old money, you love buttons and dials and all that stuff. If you’re new money, you embrace and love touchscreens. And if you’re in tech and new money, you really love touchscreens. I’m a young guy. My life revolves around computers. I’m very good at it. What I’m not very good at is being a pilot. I don’t

I mean, people will get used to it and adapt, particularly if you’re in the very young demographic whose future kids or possibly grand kids will one day grow up in a world where petrol engines are as relatable to them as someone explaining to me how theatre of the mind back in the 1920s and 1930s was all the rage.

I’ve seen the standard C8 around and it’s more of a monstrosity than a head turner, the same way the McLaren Senna accomplishes its purpose but I’d much rather be behind the wheel of a 720S every day. Definitely will reserve judgement on the C8 Z06 until it can be seen up close and in living color. It looks wider,

The center console is adopted from the Jaguar, not the other way around, which is rather interestin. Love the back (the ass?). Can’t wait to see these all over New York.

This is an outstanding car for the money. Just outstanding. I like Acura but...those interiors are an eyesore. Too much going on. I’m not flying a plane. Keep it simple. Honda gets it just right. I’d take an Accord hatchback/fastback if one existed. I may still take a loaded Accord and call it a day. Waiting for the

I’ve seen a number of C8s on the road now (and parked). It looks like a rear mid-engine kit car of what a front mid-engine Corvette might look like with a heavy Lambo influence. So...klunky. Garish and over-wrought are good terms to describe it, as well. Now check out a Porsche 911 or Cayman and it looks smooth as

Here for this.

I can’t get past that woefully grotesque grill. I’ve seen it on other Bimmers and it’s an eye sore for sure. Maybe two eyes. BMW finally found a way to top the Butt Bangle. I’d kill for that right now over this design language. Is that leather they’re using in the seats? Animal, mineral, or vegetable?

Great review. This part tickled me:

I like it. I’d prefer to configure it with lighter colors inside. Dark and drab works for sports cars or even sports sedans. Something more light, more airy, would be my preference. I love the infotainment system and screen! That’s perfect. That’s my perfect setup. Just stick a big iPad/Galaxy in the center console

The real question is how does this compare to the Toyota Yaris GR?

Oh yes. I’m with your wife on that idiotic mousepad. Not sure what they were thinking on that one. I seem to recall Lexus also used the mousepad gimmick, so maybe that’s where Honda/Acura picked up on it. Despite it being underpowered, as you said, the rest of it is nice. Sharp looker. I’m in the camp of veering left

What a shock. Chinese government wants to see data car makers are collecting. Isn’t that the height of irony, given they collect all kinds of data from their citizens and a country where individual privacy is not something that’s sacred or protected. Yeah, it’s not red tape. They want to see their code so they can

I must say I’ve been warming up to Acura in the last year. Been seeing the redesigns more and more in the posh areas of New York. I’m not super crazy about the interiors. They’re nice but I prefer the minimalist approach. Too busy for my tastes. Other than that, though, very nice looking inside and out. I’ll
