It's not about fairness. It's about maxing a game out so that it should look as good as it can get. It's about putting my GTX 590 and running the game on all ultra with 16x AA with PhysX running on max. There is no "fairness" when it comes to running a game.

Easy mode is the best way to be introduced into a game, give a player confidence, and essentially learn how to play better than ever starting on hard.
Isn't that what Beta testing is for? Besides. A bug no matter how you put it, it the developer's responsibility. Not the player. And So what if they exploit it? It's a VIDEO GAME no matter how you look at it.
