I’m too old to be a millenial but another form of help I got from my parents is that they are stable and healthy and able to take care of themselves. A lot of kids have to support their parents from a quite early age, not just when they get elderly.

The communications aren't protected, but they redact the crap out of FOIAs, including telephone numbers and email addresses in most situations. So they should have done for his constituents - and probably would have if it had actually been a FOIA.
