Why? Is it gender demographics? Girls more likely to look in manga shelves due to lack of interest in superhero comics and the "girls don't watch [whatever]" notion found among TV/movie executives?

Was it just me, or was that Emanon on the left side of the original top picture?
Ever tried the original SDF Macross?
I thought the sempai/kohai thing worked reasonably well within the context of the international cast. And Iijima's accent... eh, Minmay's the "foreign girl" anyway. Between that and the novelty of the casting, I can overlook the lack of similar accents from her family.
This is a universe with platypus bears, boarcupines, turtle ducks, and lion turtles. Nothing too strange about a polar dogbear.
Avatar doesn't "wannabe" anything but Avatar. Which it's very, very good at being.
...I don't think I've ever been ninja'd that many times over. Ah, well.
Not quite right, because you're only looking at rational numbers, which ARE countable. Here's a sequence that contains all the positive ones: 0, 1, 1/2, 2, 1/3, 2/2, 3/1, 1/4, 2/3, 3/2, 4/1, 1/5, 2/4, 3/3, 4/2, 5/1, 1/6, 2/5, 3/4...
Not only is it nonempty, but in the standard construction of the natural and/or ordinal numbers, zero is defined as {} and one as {{}}.
Depends on the powers. I'm not that big on being in the spotlight; exceptions would probably have to be something I worked for and was honestly proud of having done. Stumbling into superpowers by blind luck? Not really.
I don't know that I'd have the guts to use them for anything, except maybe making everyday tasks easier.
Probably a little of Giant Robo, too.
I've thought before that a good way to characterize Mario would be as a cross between Carrot Ironfoundersson and Monkey D. Luffy.
Never heard of this sequence before! Very cool.
You could do it the way a certain long-running shonen manga (not saying which due to spoilers) did it: have a character look at a world map and notice the similarities to a map of Mars.
If you want to "update" it in any way, I'd suggest the following strategy:
Ooh, forgot about that. Yeah, probably right — Korra's name isn't even mentioned in this version.
I like how the beginning still lists the elements in the standard order, but shifted by one so that the Avatar's native element is still at the end.
