I really liked Isshuukan Friends (though you might not like it if you aren't into slice-of-life type stuff) I watched the first episodes of a lot of stuff and that one is by far my favorite. I also liked Haikyu!! though sports anime have a way of coming derailed in later episodes.

Brynhildr in the Darkness, and Irregular at Magic High School both had really great first episodes, was a great way to end my crunchyroll premium trial. Probably the most promising starts I've seen in a while, plus they actually ARE new, cuz most of these so-called "new" shows really aren't >_>

I've played it, though I've never played LBP. However it seems a lot better than LBP, which never interested me. Even in the Beta, which is far more limiting than what the final product will be, people are making stuff a lot cooler than what I've ever seen people make in LBP.
