Well, you actually just sold me on buying the book. I don't know why but the reference has me even more giddy.

I have defended the ongoing onslaught of people bashing this game. EA is making it really hard to defend them (well at least the sports side, still hyped for Mirrors Edge & Battlefront).

I have never read the books but im an avid watcher of the show. I dont think my brain can take that much more death. No more Red Weddings.

I have always felt that this is the one series that can pull through if it just finds its groove. I hope Lightning returns is on FFX's level of awesome, the foundation is there it just needs execution.

Say what you will about FFXIII/XIII-2 (I quite enjoyed the first one, have not played the latter) But this one looks really, really good.

Yea an NBA Jam would be ideal but im thinking more of a more accessible 2k. Think the difference between Gran Torismo & Forza Hrizon, if that makes any sense.b I don't want crazy over the top. Just less simulation because we have seen how trying to compete with 2k worked out for them.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. My main gripe is that I don't think that it should compete for the most realistic basketball sim around. I think it should just go for most fun grounded basketball game.

While I agree that Live has not been good for a long time I don't get why people are quick to say this new game is going to suck. I mean the game has not been out for years, at least wait till it is out on the shelves before you start bashing it.

Yea, i'm currently using a ps3 controller and Better DS3, works like a charm. The only reason I want this is because the console is small, its easy to move and whatnot. Probably will need to judge the build quality myself though.
