But who would fine them? The BAA has no authority to do that, and I'm guessing the state wouldn't bother with it.

This annoys me for sure. I paid the$550 to the BAA, another chunk of change to the charity I was running for, and then had to raise several thousand dollars for said charity in order to run. So yeah, it's a little unfair to the other runners who got their bibs justly. On the other side of the coin, what is the end

You'd need to pay me a hefty sum to put my hands near that mop...

I live in Boston and I have to say, I hope at some point this season some opposing manager comes out and does the same thing with Clay Buchholz. Again, teams are reluctant to make an issue of it unless you're being an idiot about it, and Clay is an idiot about it.

Sorry Barry, Greg Paulus locked that up years ago:

He sat out as a transfer from Western Kentucky (now I'm curious if he thought he'd be more accepted in Amherst). He'll graduate before his eligibility is up.

Is there even a ballpark in MLB that holds 60,000 people anymore?

McRae does scream a lot... like, a lot lot. It gets old when watching Vols games.

How long did it take you to get a frame-by-frame replay uploaded with the time broken down to hundredths of a second? I ask because referees are still using fucking stopwatches while standing over a monitor at the scorer's table. It seems like the NCAA would be well served to hire Deadspin's services on this one. They

The Len Bias jersey and Maryland hat aren't helping...

Well, besides Cornell. Fuck Cornell.

That's pathetic, those four race officials should be put down. She's going to ride below the gate initially, then they all walk below it giving her the option of riding into them or the gate, and she spares them (unfortunately). Hopefully she makes a full recovery and can resume racing at some point.

Smell ya later, 1 seed.

Now playing

I was lucky enough to be there (not... a 55-36 game? Brutal) and shot the closing moments. I'm affiliated with neither school, just live in the area and felt like catching a game.

Perfectly fair to be bitter about the '95 snub. He was the star of the best offense in baseball that year and, in a strike-shortened 144 game season, still managed to become the first person with 50 HR's and 50 2B's in a season. Dude was a beast. And an asshole. Did he run over someone with a car? I feel like I read

Davone Bess, Titus Young, Adam Muema. Three young men who all appear to have mental illness and won't get any help, and who will all likely be unemployed in the coming year.

Fantastic. +1

I think it was that he called Crabtree a "sorry-ass" receiver. Most people have stopped considering ass a curse but not all.
