I traded my ‘ideal body’ (that’s a lie, actually.. I never possessed one of those) for not having cancer, so there’s that.

Yeah, it would be really nice for loose skin & stretch marks to be accepted even if they didn’t come from having a baby.

The American Action Forum calculated guaranteed green housing would cost between $1.6 trillion and $4.2 trillion; a federal jobs guarantee between $6.8 trillion and $44.6 trillion; a net zero emissions transportation system between $1.3 trillion and $2.7 trillion; a low-carbon electricity grid for $5.4 trillion; and

This is painting France with an extremely long brush, but too many high-profile French actresses responded to the MeToo uprising with haughty disdain for me not to notice it. We don’t do a lot of things better, but so far we’ve got a better (recent) track record at shaming our famous sex pests off the stage and into

I don’t get it.  Europe is so progressive when it comes to healthcare and a social safety net, but my god they’re worse that us when it comes to sexual assault.

But no one told me that the quote-unquote “loss” of that pre-baby body can be freedom. That you don’t realize how much you are imprisoned by your relative bodily proximity to, and striving toward, a mainstream ideal until you decidedly “lose” your ability to perform some piece of that ideal.”

Nobody should be eligible for the draft because we shouldn’t have one.

Did you read the article? She had her children taken away and was sent to a hospital. They don’t send con artists to hospitals.

So, I was listening to a true crime podcast and apparently the reason we get the most weird stories out of Florida is because they give the most public crime info.  You can find out more without requests than other states.  I found this very interesting.

I have a feeling that this story is just odd right now, but when more info comes out, it’s going to get really sad, really quick.

I read a really interesting article about this as it relates to photography a few years ago. All the “test faces” for Kodak film were white women, which meant that calibration for darker skin not only didn’t happen, it wasn’t even considered. I take passport photos as part of my job, and it’s noticeable still that
