Yeah I’ve lost a few of my favorite villagers due to not logging on the game for a few days R.I.P. Maple, Twiggy, and Freya :(

I agree, those story segments should either have been implemented in battles that weren't the same bosses over and over, or released from the combat stuff altogether.
