I don't think it was the head gasket that was weak, but rather the head studs. That's what my instructor was saying, anyways. He also said the only way to do anything about it is to take the whole cab off, which seems a little excessive.

The problem with the 6L Power Stroke was that half of the engine was designed by one group, and the other half was designed by another group, and they didn't do a whole lot of talking to eachother. Also, the oil cooler is cast and tends to get plugged up with detritus, which is the main point of failure for these

Woo. Go EUG.

ITT: No sense of humour.

I have a 14. One of the shiny new ones.

The only difference is, I get constant compliments on my 6. Seriously. Anyone who knows anything about cars wants to check it out. Is it perfect? Nope. Because I bet it looks way better and is a much nicer car to drive, plus 77.

Why did they make it $1,700,000? Why not $1,770,000?

You mean like this awkward, upright profile?

The same way you paint over any kind of steel, I would imagine.

Well, I'm from Oregon, and the bill found its way to me, so I imagine so.

It was. Automatic toll booths, too. Be expecting a bill in the mail in a few months.
