Is this the end of RIM? No. Corporate users will continue to buy, and some consumers are latched to these things because of BlackBerry Messenger.
@nbergseng: I doubt it. Blackberry messenger has a bunch of people tied. Plus Blackberry is still best for enterprise.
@chris.edgette: Yes, but Blackberry is horrible at bringing the fun. I am hoping Blackberry 6 brings richer apps and games...and they better not cost $5, like most currently do. Android excels in multimedia, and Blackberry in messaging. You've got to pick the platform that suits you best.
@geekymitch: I have a feeling it's like the 9700, based on the dimensions of the device. Maybe the tallness of the device will help make the keyboard feel more spacious?
As a brown person with a keen eye for spotting racism, I fail to see any negative intent or impact in the tap dancing request.
omg...I am totally bringing a brick to the laundromat next time...
I wonder if the computers actually look like that in person. Gizmodo, you should buy one of these and do a hands on!
@shadomouse: hmm, I had no idea the mobi format supported the Kindle features.
@Mojonaut: I meant that as a universal human trait. I am surprised she didn't try to capitalize on the video by selling it, rather that putting it on youtube...now THAT is a New York thing.
@Mojonaut: You must not be from NYC. If someone wants to cause a scene and jump on the subway tracks, then let them be. An untrained person who jumps in to help is equally foolish. Videotaping is a given...we are a voyeuristic people.
@derilium: No you cant. The Amazon format is proprietary.
@derilium: what I am saying is those features would not be available if you sideload PDFs on your Kindle. Kinda defeats the purpose.
@derilium: And what books are available in PDF format to download? How does one bookmark a PDF on these devices? Highlight? Lookup a word?
@Ezequiel Gutierrez: It wouldn't surprise me if Amazon sends you the new one. Give it a day...I don't think the K2 is going back in stock.
@junior ghoul: no.
Still no ePub? I'll buy one of these when they cost $50 and a standardized file type exists.
@gemcosta: Actually, e-reader page turns are significantly faster than real book page turns.
I'm not sure I like this charcoal color Amazon is pushing.
