Uh, yeah, they can be allergic to breast milk. One of my coworkers nearly died from a milk allergy as an infant because he was allergic to breast milk and his mother certainly wasn't consuming milk (vegan).

But if you're talking about innate vs. earned power, then the Archive isn't exactly a counter example. Her abilities were inherited from her mother. She didn't get the knowledge by studying. She just had it zapped into her brain. Not everyone can be an archive.
