@Apricot_Poodle: I just looked up the one for Maryland. Turns out it's Smith Island Cake. I've never even heard of that.

@TheFormerJuneBronson: I had to look up what a fluffernutter is. Do people seriously eat that? It sounds awful.

@veggiewood: Sphynx cats have fur, it's just really short. They feel like velvet. Also, they're adorable.

@messybessy: I thought it was because the manufacturers decided that rich people are skinnier than people who aren't and went with it from there.

@messybessy: I thought that worked the other way around? I mean, Target stuff is sized pretty big, but all the designer stuff I've tried on was sized much smaller.

@moon_walker: One of my friends swears by Willie Smith jeans, but she got hers from a thrift store and I don't know if they still make them. Seven7 has some nice fits, and if you can find them on sale they're pretty reasonable. If you're willing to spend a good deal more (155 dollars, or 80 if you get a groupon or

@MoonCat82: What's interesting is that if you look at a graph of clothing size distribution in the US, a lot of women fall into that deadzone. The most common size is an 8 (last time I saw the chart, which was a few years ago, so this may not be currently accurate), but there's a lot of 6s too. It just seems so odd

@RizzRustbolt: Sure, think about it. The deadzone is from size 2-6. 0 = regular model, 8+ = plus size model. Obviously, what you're not going to see much of it women who are between that.

@GirlOverboard: Pssst, the line of lingerie thing was a hoax. What she was selling was a line of dresses that were shirts with big fluffy tutus attached. Goofy, but age appropriate, and not lingerie by a long shot.

@DownInFlames: *sigh* I know that, but making the observation that women are more responsible with money because of the pressure applied to them by sexism is not benevolent sexism. Just like making the observation that women are more careful on the streets at night than men are because the women are responding to a

@DownInFlames: Hmm, well, it's the result of sexism, in that women are so pressured to be selfless that they end up behaving more responsibly as a result of that pressure, but there's nothing benevolent about that pressure, which is used to make women take care of themselves less and others (men and children) more.

Conscience clauses are bullshit. If your religion tells you that you can't touch pork, you don't get a job at a butcher shop and then refuse to do your work. If it tells you that you can't take your clothes off then you don't get a job at a strip club and refused to work. So why in the hell are these assholes

@jenawithonen: They have a variety of styles, with and without the molded cups. I have a nice push up strapless, and couple of their smooth ibras for tee-shirts, and a couple of black lace bras with the thin double straps.

@jenawithonen: ...Yeah, I wear a 32 DD and VS is awful. They just want to sell you a bra so if they don't have your size, they'll tell you that you're a different size that they do have. Assholes.

@egged: I only feel bad about clothes not fitting when I bought them in some kind of temporary insanity.

@CogitoErgoNom: From what I understand, that's exactly why they don't stock larger sizes in their stores, because then people will try them on, not be able to fit into a larger percentage of the clothes and then not buy them. In the meantime, this stuff is taking up physical room in a store and the stores don't like

@egged: Sure, but you're going to see less variation on average. My mother and I are like that (I have very usual body proportions). Though she was about my size when she was young, we had pretty different body type, but getting her old stuff to fit me only means modifying it slightly.

@carapatricia: But that's the problem, two plus size women can have completely different body shapes. Two size 2s probably have pretty similar proportions, but two size 20s might have drastically different body types. Some women will wear clothing that's just small sizes scaled up, and others will need more space in

@childe★herald [rockchalks you]: Mine was a spontaneous mutation as well an it wasn't caught until pretty recently. I'm the tallest person in my family, and where as everyone else has short, solid heavy bones, I'm very tall, thin, and light boned. I display the hand sign and the wrist sign (I'm tall, and my wrists

@childe★herald [rockchalks you]: Well, not everyone with Marfan syndrome has problems with their aorta, mine is fine so far (lucky, actually, since I wasn't diagnosed until I was 27... and a weight-lifting long distance runner), but I agree with you, it doesn't seem like the most likely diagnosis.
