I loved the Carmen Sandiego games, the multiple cartoons, and live action. I grew up with it, so it is very much a part of my child hood! Also:

Logically speaking, if NK did anything, I would think all the superpowers would rush to nuke the shit out of them. Nobody actually gives a shit about them, and it would avoid all the mutual devastation.

The peaceful alternative was to allow more favorable surrender terms than the Potsdam Declaration.

I don’t comprehend a justification to allow NK to have nukes.

It says you’re an honest person with realistic expectations. Don’t ever feel guilty for knowing yourself and what you want—and walking away when those things are compromised. The saying “No one is going to live your life for you” comes to mind... kind of a simple and stupid phrase, but I have to often remind myself of

Having seen some of the maps of nuclear targets, anyone in a reasonably major city is going to die. You had best hope that you are either living in an initial blast zone or so far way from everything that you won’t even hear a bomb hit.

Well, I mean, it can - it depends. In Poland, it definitely did not. In the Czech Republic, which was similarly Catholic, it definitely did. As for Russia, I have no idea. I imagine it varies, since it’s such a large country.

“The only difference being that Chechnya has a Muslim majority doing this.”

Honestly, I find London Fashion Week WAAAAYYYY more interesting and creative than Paris or Milan.

Ever heard of Vivienne Westwood? Grace Coddington?

London fashion week is pretty big and there are some quite big British fashion companies from Burberry, Alexander McQueen, to top shop.so the fashion industry is not quite as big as Italy and France, but still quite influential.

I was think more of London Fashion Week, which happens twice a year, which is one of the “Big Four” (with Milan, Paris, and New York) and fuels a significant slab of the annual content in all the Vogues.

Unfortunately, I’d have to agree. You demolished a 40 hour save and it was for my job??? That kid is dead. Nope. Nopeity nope. Into the fire.

I can accept that argument for team sports, but a gender-neutral track & field or swimming competition would be one in which everyone who won an award was assigned male at birth.

And the reason Best Actress comes second is women aren’t taken as seriously. It’s a symptom not a cause.

Why not mince the categories and let everyone, no matter their gender identity, compete against one another?

I’m aware it’s extremely illegal, and I’m not actually expecting the average American to put their livelihoods on the line to commit insurance and green card fraud. But, again, hiding Jews and slaves was punishable by death. People take huge risks all the time in the name of fighting immoral laws.

I’m glad someone said it. I haven’t seen the movie, but from what I hear, Matt Damon is just kind of in the way the whole time.

I want to point out that The Great Wall was not whitewashing. It wasn’t even Hollywood. The film was made in China by Chinese. Just look at the cast on IMDB and tell me how this can even be considered whitewashing?
