I'm not Mexican, but I do know that my good friend who is a Mexican chef gets irrationally ragey when people refer to anything made on a flour tortilla as a 'taco'.

Dear god I want that in my belly now. And that is a burrito. (I'm Iowan)

Yah, I mean, if things went wrong, the woman in a straight couple gets veto power on whether there will be a termination or you're both IN IT for 18 years (at the very least, financially). If I were a dude, and thus didn't have that biologically-necessary veto power over any accidental pregnancies, I'd get myself

Here's when Newsweek jumped the shark:

This list is ridiculously inadequate... and Temple Run? Really?

What I wanna know is, BITCH WHY AND HOW HAVE YOU ENCOUNTERED THAT MANY DEMONS TO KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THEY DO!??

I think that's a better view and explanation than what I initially said. Your argument is much better - it resonates more with common sense and sufficiently (in my mind, at least) reconciles the differences in how we treat our historical figures over our contemporaries. It does no good to single out Mr. Jefferson

Grand Traverse Distillery's True North Cherry Vodka + Coke = the happiest BoozyFloozy on the planet! It tastes just like Cherry Coke. You don't even taste any alcohol. Other cherry vodka is fine. But Grand Traverse's is superb.

Setzer: Right on. (Can I still say that? It means I agree w/ you and believe your statement is powerful and well said. Just in case, you know, we're from different times and all.)

Well, you can't condemn them. They're dead, so there's nobody to condemn.

Sure. Similarly I don't think it's unreasonable to judge people according to the moral stance of the time in which they lived, even if I find that moral stance objectionable in the present context.

Also, you could argue that everyone is a little bit paedophilic... which I know is a creepy way to start any comment but hear me out...

And hence why vodka soda was my drink of choice while I was on Weight Watchers! Honestly, it still is.

by the standards of 18th century british america, yes? by the standards of our own, more advanced and enlightened era, no?

so it was OK for Jefferson to have slaves

Richard Dawkins is a grade A asshole, a pseudo-humanist, and a misogynist.

"not condemning" vs. "not condemning by the same standards as today" are two very different things, though it does make for a juicy headline.

"Top. Men."
