All that Maine traffic... I’d argue a manual RWD Ranger is easier in the snow than a Auto RWD Ranger given the ability to feather the clutch.

I really like this ‘C’/oval look. Not saying it would age well, but I like it here.

I’m sure there will be a jazillion cameras/alerts letting you know something is in your blind spot.

The Nest

PA stopped making these plates for exactly that - legibility issues. I wonder, however, it you had a typical plate, if you would be pulled over at all ....

I thought all Vette’s had fiberglass bodies?

Fair enough! That’s why I come here.

How does the old LAX tower not get any love?

04/05 Jag XJ8. Only Vanden Plas ($15k) and R ($12,500) versions apply. XKR would give plenty of oomph for passing and the mountains, the VdP would be great leg room. I’d lean toward the VdP for a bit better fuel economy and that leg room! plus the ‘06 has an all aluminum body. Scrumptious.

Trucks have them to ‘climb’ inside. with 2 hands on the wheel (or one on wheel and one on shifter), no need to have an oh shit handle on the driver’s side.

Given the traditional demographic, I think adding a chrome option is a good marketing idea. I do agree and hate the look, though.

There is still an A/C Condenser back there somewhere. Power steering and CVT’s need cooling, too ....

Come on! How can you argue against that the designers and engineers did show lack of general concern and were downright careless?

Holy shit, that bird is low

But they apparently work pretty well and rarely need servicing

Glad to hear/see they missed the Arizona Memorial .....

Legit question: typically when you arrive in a harbor or such, you take on a local captain familiar with the waters and local tugs. Does this happen in a Navy yard as well? If so, who is at fault? The USN captain, or the harbor master?

Great post and descriptions. Am I correct in assuming there will be an equally pleasurable article on the San Antonio?

Absolutely.
