I’m not sure how many potential new drivers are thinking this, but the idea that the job will be increasingly obsolete in (5? 10?) years may also be putting downward pressure on bringing new drivers into the industry who would otherwise replace older drivers as they age out.

why tho? enthusiasts will go for manual (it’s 200hp, not enough power to warrant a dct or something) and the people who just like the look of the car or want a more luxurious civic won’t notice if it’s a CVT or auto or DCT anyways. why is this even an issue for you lmao

I’d rather pay more for a manual than be punished for it. Most of the few remaining manual options these days are only for the base motor or models with no options.

I like it, but I’m not a fan of hiding the manual behind a paywall.
