Isn’t there a seabed out there somewhere in need of a reef?

I remember when the gun nuts used to insist that “an armed society is a polite society.”

This would make a great resto-mod project for a YouTuber who wants to swap in an LS engine and replace every dial and electrical item with something modern and reliable. But not at $60k. More like $15k.

About 3 years ago my wife bought an off-lease, 48k mile 2018 Lexus ES300h with the Mark Levinson sound system (the only absolutely required option on any Lexus) for $23,000. Today a 2018 48k mile Lexus ES300h costs pretty much the same money. So, basically, no depreciation.

You had me at “Florida.”

but sadly it probably won’t look like this rad EV hatch

Exactly. There are usually one or two Supras at Cars and Coffee. And I drove passed a wicked looking new Supra just the other day. But I’ve never seen a Z car in the wild. Back in the day you saw 350s and 370s all the time. Still see them every now and again.

Pay and working conditions are already pretty lousy for truckers. Wait until you’re competing against a driverless truck. I’m sure there are a lot of good ol’ boy truckers cheering these companies “sticking it to woke California” but I wonder if they’ll be singing a new tune once their jobs are replaced by a

ALLLRIGHT! Time to get that $60,000.00 C8 Corvette.... what... why are you guys laughing?

Yup... it’s sabotage from the inside.

I’ve never seen one of the new Z’s outside of a Cars and Coffee, and not even there the last few weekends. If you could truly get one for $40k, I’m sure that wouldn’t be the case. Nissan is really in no position to price its models out of consumer’s budgets, but that’s exactly what seems to be happening with this car.

Meanwhile the postal service will be hobbled with absurdly expensive, absurdly inefficient gas guzzlers thanks to Donald Trump’s incompetent Postmaster General.

Once the thief has the pump, they’ll then use the original person’s still active transaction to pump gas for other drivers who pull into the station, in exchange for cash.”

I mean... I wouldn’t say the car was “ruined” but by the time Lotus finally developed the V8 they were pumping 300Hp out of the 4 Cylinder motor. So the V8 really only added 50 Hp (though I’m sure the torque curve was more linear). But really it’s a case of what “could have been.” Keep in mind that in 1996, when the V8

I was thinking of suggesting the Lotus Esprit V8. It would be a stretch to say that the car was “ruined” by the Renault sourced transmission it relied on, but because Renault would not warranty the tranny for more than 350Hp, Lotus had to detune the 500Hp+ capable 918 engine to a claimed 349 Hp.

Reminding everyone that when Elon Musk says he bought Twitter to “restore free speech” he’s selling us a load of horse shit. He bought Twitter in a fit of pique because the company dared fact check Covid misinformation he was spreading. He wanted the platform as a bullhorn to press his own political and economic agenda

So they should do what every other American manufacturer has done over the last 40 years? What’s most amazing about this story isn’t that Cramer is recommending the move, it’s that U.S. auto manufacturers haven’t done it already. Once the U.S. embraced free trade and globalization the handwriting was on the wall. The

A majority of the 11,300 electric vehicles VinFast has sold worldwide this year were to… itself. Barron’s reports that over 7,000 EVs were bought by Green and Smart Mobility. It’s a Vietnamese taxi company that is – you guessed it – controlled by Vingroup...
