Car and driver named the cirrus/stratus/breeze to their top ten back in the day. Very go. od value for the money. I owned one (breeze) put 150000 hard miles on the 24000 it had on it when I bought it. 2.4 hard lots of poke and way more room than its competition (contour). Only issue with it was head gaskets.

Don't know if I would call it beautiful per se - not gorgeous certainly. But it is a car I lust for but will likely never buy because it was a flat out disaster in North America. Not up to the driving conditions and demands/expectations of NA drivers/owners.

With apologies to pj O'Rourke:

Either it or the SBC would be #1. My guess would be the VW as it is the more global engine. That said, the sbc went into dozens of different models including lots of non GM cars (including beetles).

A recent issue of collectibLe automobile has an article on this very topic.

Congratulations. You have now joined the ranks of tens (maybe hundreds?) of millions of people around the globe who have installed a bug motor - quite possibly the easiest engine install in autodom. With practice a couple jack stands and a decent floor jack you can do it in about 20 minutes. A swap out and in takes

That very much depends on how electricity is generated in the future.

This puts virgin passengers and their Kin at some risk. I wonder how he would react if this became common

The time coming where this could be a very big thing. Unlike electrics like the volt, refilling at a (ahem) gas station that has high pressure pumps could be done in minutes - not much different than gasoline or diesel. So one could remain running on dirt cheap NG for longer trips. And the engineering and

You forgot lousy fuel economy.

Divorce law was a whole lot different back then.

Also for the first time JD power used an online survey rather tHan a paper one.

Back when I owned a beetle ('71 superbeetle) sometimes I would make it a fully electric car - put it in first gear and cranked the starter to go a couple hundred yards.

if GM wanted this and the fiero and a litany of other specials to have become halo cars as intended the sure fire way has always been to offer a really high powered option a la the GTO and many many others.

Suicide doors would be a real pain in parking lots - like the clamshell doors on GM pickups used were.

That's the douchy edition. It either says I havent the money to get the infunitely better early edition or I can't tell the difference.

Most weddings i have attended have required two cars:

Like so many things in life - it all depends.

I find my Chrysler 300c to have an excellent, easy to use system. full touchscreen with analog backup for hvac and audio/telephone Control and VR foa all of those functions.
