It is infuriating.  There is no need for 20" wheels on a minivan.  All it does it make it more expensive to replace rubber, and more likely you bend a rim someday.

Somehow between celebrities driving “murdered out” customized luxury cars 15 years ago and douche 19 year olds using plasti-dip to try and achieve the same look ever since then on their hoopties, OEMs decided they should keep rolling out black wheels for some reason.

Probably both said 50 times by now, but touchscreens replacing critical buttons, knobs and switches that you could identify by feel and keep your eyes on the road. Also, giant grills and fake anything, especially intakes/vents. Tacky as hell and just clutter the design.

The more plastic around the wheel arches the less rust you will see underneath.

Ruggedification of compact/subcompact CUVs. Especially if they’re decked out in tacky matte surfaces even though they barely have more ground clearance than their sedan counterparts. Who are they even fooling?

Knoblessness.

Non-round steering “wheels.”

Have you ever met a wrangler owner?

You are under the assumption that people are looking at the road while driving.

Compared to a Wrangler, that doesn’t seem like an unusual ownership experience.

A true enthusiast can buy whatever they want.

Yeah I wonder if we’ll ever get back to the general consensus that accidents are actually avoidable. I’d much rather be able to see someone coming and avoid it in the first place than have another inch of pillar thickness and get hit because I couldn’t see the other car coming.

I still don’t understand the purpose behind plastic cladding around the wheel arches. I think most cars would look fine with the metal arches with a little cladding like the brake vents:

Screen replacing gauge clusters in cars. To be fair, I don’t mind a well designed digital gauge cluster that is integrated in to the design of the dash. What I have a problem with are hideous, lazy, tacked on 3 foot long screens that are just kinda added on without regard to design. For example. The upcoming Mustang,

If you are purely talking design, I have to go with the high-beltline greenhouse combined with the ever sharpening rake of windshields.

We know Dante will be the villain of the Fast Saga’s latest (and last) entry

Was the driver drinking Red Bull? I hear it gives you wings.

Condition of the driver at the time of the crash?  Since the driver crashed into the second floor of the house, it’s pretty obvious he or she was high, isn’t it?

They lived.

Two years ahead of schedule, but California is at the forefront of tech, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that they are the first to have flying cars.
