A sad situation, for sure - but it reminds me of a George Wallace comedy routine:

“Don’t make me turn this car... off a cliff!”

First off, assuming reports are accurate of this being intentional - f*** this guy. I hope the other 3 occupants recover and are ok.

Autopilot was my first thought, not some psyhco trying to kill his whole family.

Nope.  Gotta give people that tidbit so they can speculate if it involved autopilot or not.

It was interesting that NBC Nightly News reported this as “Passengers Survive Tesla Plunge” last night. It struck me that it would not have been reported this way with any other brand of car - I can’t imagine that it would be described as “Passengers Survive Dodge Plunge” for example. Am I wrong?

In fairness to Dr. Patel, the kid sitting behind him WOULD NOT STOP KICKING THE SEAT!

Those poor, terrified children (and the presumed spouse/partner of the driver). What a nightmare to go through.

Same, I thought it was a hoax.

Need to remove the GT350 striping and it would be ok. Still overpriced.

I made the same mistake and restored a 1968 coupe. Always start with a fastback or convertible!!

I see you have a high expectation for people. As a means of lowering that, I invite you peruse the internet for an hour or two.

Somewhere in-between ‘not my job’ and ‘I don’t give a shit’.

Minnesota plates and the passenger rocker appears to be rusted out. There is a reason this is wrapped beyond the current owner’s terrible taste as showcased by the wheels.

A wrapped over 25 year old car from Minnesota, anyone that has lived in Minnesota knows what is likely lurking somewhere under that wrap (my guess is they filled the holes with Bondo before wrapping it).

People are crazy. A 3200 mile SS didn’t meet its reserve on BaT at $25k either.

I think the entire world is ND right now.

Everything says “run” with this vehicle, including the price.

A prime example of what you get when you put lipstick on a roach.

I mostly agree, but at the same time with these being super rare car to begin with you could drive em, put a couple thousand miles on them and it wouldn’t really negatively affect their values.  I mean I would LOVE to see one of these get used, minus the wrecks, like Rowan Atkinson used his F1, in the real world not
