It’s so hard to compare used prices, particularly with what others say they paid for the “same thing.” Miles/condition/options can vary widely and location can make a huge difference (as well as timing). Like you said, the key is to research what similar models list for in your area recently/currently and be realistic.

There are people who will gladly pay a premium if they can have it now.
