I saw the first GIF and busted out laughing. I scrolled to the end of the thread, then scrolled back and laughed again. Then I read the rest of the article, then came back to laugh at your post one last time.

Thisis SUCH A THING in Japan and can be readily seen in most anime. Many Japanese women affect a high-pitched voice because they think it makes them sound younger and more attractive. I believe it's known as bird talk, but I could be wrong about the term. There's a serious youth fetish in Japanese culture, so it makes…
You got this. You are stronger than paper tubes. You are a stone cold demigoddess.
I have to admit that sometimes I'm afraid that this is part of my collaboration style at work. Not in the 'wear a low-cut shirt and tell them how hunky they are' type of way, but in a 'flatter them and make it seem like I'm asking them for advice or help when really I'm trying to get them to deliver their tasks in the…
That really sucks, I'm sorry to hear that. I definitely think you should say something - my boyfriend and I definitely mentioned each other in the acknowledgements of our theses. I don't think you're really gaining anything by keeping silent - your feelings will still be hurt. It's a pretty thoughtless thing for him…
I honestly don't mind individual games that only let you play as a man, if it's essential to the story. Leeting the player choose their own gender can weaken storytelling in some cases. However, I would like to see the overall number of games that only let you play as a woman increase to some sort of parity as well.
It's okay, you're not prying. I have gotten it checked out, and beyond knowing that it's a hormonal imbalance thing, the endocrinologists basically shrugged their shoulders. Hypogonadatropic hypogonadism? Something like that. Basically, "there's a disconnect somewhere in the complex relay of glands that regulate sex…
I'm 26 and I've never gotten a period. Am I a woman yet?
It blows my mind that they were comparing the protesters to the French Revolution to make FUN of them....if they had any sense, they would be very, very scared right now.
Are there any before/after shots on the internet that show the 'Asian' looking features that these women are trying to move away from? The woman in the foreground of this shot is gorgeous, but to me, she still looks very much like an Asian woman.
There was a heartbreaking article about the ivory trade in Nat Geo a few months back. It's become common for newly rich Chinese to buy tons of ivory as a status symbol. Plus, it's huge in the religious iconography market, which itself is HUGE. It's a really bad problem.
That's a nice straw man you've got there.
Probably both of you realize that there is nothing in life that is certain, i.e., you can never be sure that you won't break up, but is looking for validation and an assurance from the other that a break-up is not on the horizon. It definitely seems like a conflict between romanticism/pragmatism, and even though I…
What the....what? What possible reason could Serena have for commenting on this case? It's not even in the media anymore, it's like she was actively searching out an excuse to put her foot in her mouth.
Some of those re-natured urban shots remind me of Enslaved. Such a pretty game.
Listen, I love SotC and Ico, but in no way does an HD re-release deserve a spot on the "12 Best Games for PS3" list. Those are PS2 games. It's really that simple.
Yeah, I'm just glad the game is coming out at all. The end of Dreamfall was a ridiculous cliffhanger, and for a while I thought there would never be a sequel. Thank goodness for Kickstarter!
I think it's kind of sad that "female-friendly games" have come to mean "games where you customize your character". Sure it's nice to be able to choose to play as a woman if you want to, but those types of games by nature are lacking in the kind of story development that comes from having a defined protagonist. Skyrim…
If I made $10,000 a year, I'd be making a five figure salary too. Doesn't exactly paint these interns as stacked with cash.
