No love for Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers? That's the very first one that came to mind when I saw the headline. It's so damn catchy.

Actually, it just makes me happy that kids from the US won the championship. I'm always reading all these dire articles about how we're falling behind the rest of the world in math and science.

Thank you. I came on this thread specifically to make sure someone mentioned this book. :)

What are the odds that they will make this available for download on the Xperia Play? Or, for that matter, make anything available for download on the Xperia Play? Seriously, it's getting silly.

Oh, NPH, no.... Say it isn't so...

For me, the entirely of human history has been a struggle to reach the point where we don't have to butcher our own meat. There might be some other stuff in there about justice and art and so on, but the meat thing is a big one for me.

After a while I wanted the effects to stop so I could take a better look at that castle. It was seriously impressive.

I have a question that someone here might be able to answer: does the reopening of the PlayStation store mean that there will FINALLY be some new releases for the Xperia Play? I've got one of those things and it's been the same questionable lineup of GameLoft casual games and other games I've never heard of since I

Oh man, I used to love Indian Princesses. Haven't thought about or heard them mentioned in years.

I actually thought that religions like Buddhism and Hinduism were way more okay with showing depictions of their deities than the Judeo-Christian religions are. Might it just be a combination of an extreme Hindu faction and a slow news day, or is this really a prevalent thing?

Great list! I've got a couple more: Jade from Beyond Good and Evil, for being completely uncowed by the threats of the fear-based society she lives in. Bayonetta, for proving that even ridiculous, over-the-top sexuality can be fun and empowering when it doesn't take itself seriously in the slightest. And Nariko from

The vast majority of female gamers are as uninterested in a Barbie game as their male counterparts. You're making the same mistake made by lots of game advertising executives, in which they think that grown women enjoy the same kinds of games as young girls. There's a world of difference between a Barbie game and a

Not necessarily true. As a female gamer, I'm very used to playing as male characters. It's a fallacy to assume that gamers will only enjoy playing as someone exactly like themselves.

I feel like you and I had the same childhood. Did you also read a Wrinkle in Time and its sequels at an absurdly young age?

It's funny to me that you got so worked up over the possibility of a flame war that never happened.

I hope you're being sarcastic. A /sarcasm tag would help with that.

I don't know why this made me laugh so hard.

Regardless of whether or not it's messed up (and it is), there do indeed exist some men for whom any sexual attention from a woman brings a sense of validation. You can try to make gregorybutler feel like an ass if you want, but the reality is that a sense of gender is a weird thing and differs greatly between people.

I just wanted to come on and thank the author for including a positive example of gender relations in videogames. I clicked this link all ready to vent my girl-nerd rage about video games getting a bad rap - again - for a stupid aspect of a really stupid upcoming release. However, I really appreciate the author taking
