Hardware will continue to evolve if for no other reason than this: the current generation of cellphones have already closed in on the last generation of graphics, and this one wont' be far behind.

Having a universal standardized format does not equate to "no competition". Dvd and blu-ray are standardized formats, and prices for that keep dropping. You can argue that netflix and online streaming services provide competition, but that already exists for gaming as well.

We've LONG moved past the point where hardware defined the best experience in videogames. The age we live in now, the only competition that is important is the software.....and the competition for there is only going to get bigger and better when the age of exclusive titles dissapears once and for all.

I've been saying this needs to happen for years. Seriously...we live in a world in which almost all of our media devices are being consolidated more than ever, and if there's one thing keeping videogames out of the mainstream its this.

I will buy this....on ONE condition:

I initially got really excited for this title after I heard the openworld webswinging mechanic came back and the footage we saw made the game look fantastic......

Again, look up cut and paste deus ex machina.

-On the asteroid: Guess what, they didn't establish new canon originally, they just left it up in the air and hoped nobody would notice.

It was NEVER even hinted at until the end of the second act of ME3 that a master control AI for the reapers existed in the first place. Sovereign himself said that the Reapers were "each a nation".

"Same with people who fail to understand the "star child" is, effectively, the Reaper AI; not some deus ex machina plot device."

-I'm sure Legion would take comfort in that, after you massacre his entire people

True....IF it fits the tone of your story. That's the key.

^Putting aside that we have zero reason to trust the catalyst at that point, my point still stands that even if that results in the best outcome and is the lesser of three evils, it's at odds with the themes of the entire paragon arc because it ends with Shepard basically realizing that ultimately the character who

Here's why I despise the old endng, and I'm still not satisfied with the new one:

All I hope for is a little closure with my crew. A chance to cash in those drinks that Garrus and the rest of the galaxy owe me, and maybe, just maybe, a chance to see that house on Rannoch with my girl.

Marauder Shields is my ending, period:

Crossing my fingers.

It's not *just* this though. It's another in a long line of misfires I've heard about the game. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the game is very awesome and addictive and fun.....but at this point I think i'd rather just stay ignorant of that fact then have to grit my teeth and bear through all this crap because of how

Man....I really keep wanting to check this one out but every single time I have a break from my work schedule and/or the money to buy it, I hear a new horror story like this.
