Surreal experience. With a few hours to kill before my flight, I found the Southern Museum of flight outside the back of the airport. I was coming around the corner on a backstreet behind the Birmingham AL. airport and there is an A12 on a pole. Just sitting there near the obscure airport museum there. SO awesome.

I am amazed that I have never read about what REALLY happened. It became obvious that it was smoke and mirrors, yet they carried on for a few more months. Were they delusional, lying or hoping? Someone on the inside must know the real story, it would be fascinating.

I work offshore too, I have to be recertified in my HUET certificate every 4 years, as the previous poster says, no HUET, no offshore. To do underwater escape training, you must go through a heli window upside down, underwater.
