dhacker29 is modding the the CM9 nightlies (ICS!) for Bionic. [rootzwiki.com]

My Droid Bionic came with City ID pre-installed. It pops up whenever a number not in my contacts calls me, until I told it I wasn't interested in subscribing for $2 per month.

I have a very different problem, that I still haven't been able to solve. I have a MacBook, and I want to install Windows! Unfortunately, my SuperDrive is busted and I don't want to go buy an external drive. It turns out that OS X has awful USB boot support, and VMWare Fusion doesn't seem to support using real hard

Look at Bender Stole My Whiskey's comment above. It *can* detect the difference between headphones and headphones with a microphone; we know that. Apps respond differently depending on whether you have a microphone available or not; why should the volume setting be unable to do so?

That's not technically true. Apple devices don't have a feature that Google doesn't offer on their own operating system. People have modified Apple devices beyond what is allowed and authorized by Apple, to give it that functionality. I'm sure something similar exists for rooted Android devices, if not as a legitimate

You may have let it search your email for friends and contacts, or your friends might have done so and it found the connection. Or it found references to you in previous posts of theirs. When I first registered, it did the same thing to me, and I realized it had to be doing one of the above.

Why do you want a new account, then? Why not just use the old one and clean up any things you don't want, instead of starting from scratch and making it almost the same?

You don't know me, but I deleted myself from Facebook close to a year ago and I'm still not back on.

I'm not really sure that it's possible. You'd be better off buying a few dead iWhatevers and patching together working parts than trying to upgrade an old one. I wish I could, since I love the case of my first gen iPod but I want the speed of the new one...

The picture reminds me of the video for Handlebars, by the Flobots. Anyone see the resemblance?

This is nice. After the last major update of the Google mobile app, it's become slow. It takes two or three times as long to load up, and it tends to lag while loading results or even just scrolling through webpages, plus some of the preferences are gone. If I search something random like a guacamole recipe, I don't

Maybe you need the UNIX extras from Xcode or something, because the command wasn't found on my Macbook running Snow Leopard.

Has anyone tried bone conduction headphones? Are they any good, and can someone recommend me any? The concept sounds fantastic-better bass, and the ability to still hear everything around you. I just haven't been able to really find reviews or recommendations of products.

@davidvanb: I just wrote a detailed review of the Ninja blender we bought at home, saying that it's nice, but I got it for about $40 and wouldn't pay $100. It occurred to me that I should check if they're the same product. The Ninja product I have is Euro-Pro's Ninja Master Prep Blender or whatever. It's by the same

@Graham15: That sounds more like a problem with your songs than your iPod. Or maybe when you synced them over, the files were damaged somehow. I'd recommend testing them on your computer, and if the files are fine, delete them all from your iPod and put them on again. If that fails, I guess restore?

@esp13: I realize what it means from the replies, but I just feel like saying that it looks like Italy to me. Or if I angle my head a bit, a sad face.

Is there any way at all for people rocking older hardware to install newer versions of iOS, or is my first-gen iPod Touch SOL?

This seems to be iOS 4+ only, as it simply redirects me to the normal, non-fullscreen Gmail when I try it on my first gen touch.
