Yes, EA is indeed responsible for a lot.

Jesus Christ, is the bar for common decency so low nowadays that the argument “he didn’t shoot the place up” is an actual proof of good character?!
just remember that when it’s your kid someone films in a bathroom. As long as they don’t show the naughty bits, who cares about privacy, right? I mean, fuck everyone else, this guy is on Twitch!
This is who millions of Americans want to spend their free time watching and give their hard earned money to. This guy.
Twitch banning aside, what he did is a crime in California (filming/photogrpahing people in a public bathroom is a criminal offense). Wondering why he hasn’t been charged with a crime - or if he has, why nobody is talking about the fact he committed A CRIME.
Huh, I think I might've heard something like that somewhere.
I used to argue with my wife on which famous person JenLaw must have slept with in order to be famous for acting and then a despicable studio head got busted for forcing actresses to have sex with him and suddenly the joke wasn’t funny anymore.
I’m the conductor of the “Jennifer Lawrence is wildly overrated” train. Feel free to hop on!
I haven’t read this and I’m all for inclusion but just by looking at the cover shot don’t these seem like the exact stereotypes a homophobic comic artist would make as LGTBQ+ characters. There is a literal bear with a leather daddy harness!
“It’s personal with the Red Keep... ok now I’m gonna go destroy everything but the Red Keep for a while.”
Yeah, it’s a story that kicks off with the sympathetic protagonist of the first book/season beheading a terrified man for desertion, when we know that running away was a pretty rational thing to do. Executing people for failing to obey or to do their duty doesn’t make you unhinged or a villain in this culture.
I think perhaps the OP’s point is that *any* social agenda, no matter how admirable, becomes irritating when it is repeated in a manner that is condescending and strident.
You’ve suggested that anyone who disagrees with your viewpoint should perhaps find another site to post on. Personally, I prefer to have a range of…
The AV Club posting these kind of stories is the leading cause of smug. It is easy to find anything you want on twitter or in you tube comments, so when they need a story, it is always there to write. I think they are hungover from the long weekend so we get this.
Why does the AV Club always insist on picking the lowest hanging fruit possible? “Here’s red meat for our progressive readers, chomp chomp.” Who is learning, here, and what?
“Remember you told me to tell you when you were acting rudely and insensitively? Remember that? You’re doing it right now.” ~ Jim Sting, WarGames (1983)
I guess Jobs’ oncologist cracked a few too many jokes when he recommended surgery.
I’d say the distinction between social and/or current events commentary and general humanist commentary is a fairly significant one. Not saying that one is better than the other, but when a story is quite clearly asking you to view it as a representation or metaphor of a specific thing, as opposed to an example of a…
we’re getting sooooo close to the jordan peele backlash. just a few more months!
Unlike when Riker fell in love with a holodeck simulation called Minuet (installed as a trap by the Bynars to keep him occupied)?
Aye. There’s every bit as much room for epic space adventure on a show like this as there is time to slow down and examine ourselves.
