I’m gonna respectful disagree with you on that one. That was the one score of the year that struck me as actively bad. Generic Marvel score with generic hip hop beats underneath.

Yes, seriously. The editing was a mess, which comes from having two directors for the movie (Marvel really needs to stop with the ‘using our own people’ for action scenes) and made for some horrible transitions, not to mention that the direction during the ritual challenge scenes was grating. The dialogue was clunky,

Syfy must have the dumbest fucking executives in the business.

I actually know several people who have the “America is #1" and think the rest of the world is garbage compared to the US, but I don’t want to get into that here...

The part I really enjoyed was the mock debates idea.

Pity. I enjoyed The Newsroom.

I remember watching this in Italy where I grew up in the mid- to late-70's. Wonderful show from that era. Of course I don’t remember a thing about them beyond the fact that I watched the show, dubbed in Italian. And, oh, as far as live-action v. animation, I’ll take this over Scooby-Doo any day.

This is why it comes down to a compatibility of values. If the Moclans’ standards and cultural practices are repugnant to the Union, then an alliance is not workable. Both Kelly and Ed have touched upon this realisation; and I hope to see some follow-up on it.

This was another episode that dealt with Moclans. While I want to say “enough already with the Moclans!”, I am pleased that Ed raised the question of whether the Union should really be in an alliance with a people who have such different values. Tolerance is a fine ideal; but, as Kelly said in an earlier episode,

Bortus should have kept the mustache and gotten rid of Klyden.

I say this as someone who is borderline on the spectrum but is this something that people really have a problem with? If you don’t want to be friends with somebody, don’t be friends with them. You really don’t owe anybody anything. Everything outlined above is simply to allow you to ‘forgive’ yourself for seemingly

...Mahkizmo? Really?

Incredible, he ties Bale for most times an actor has played Batman in live action. Neither of them hold a flame to our king though:

I @#$%ing lost it after reading your first paragraph. Kept me from reading more as I was about to respond in major anger. Glad I didn’t.  The jokes on me.

I don’t know if you’re in the minority (the vast body of commentary I’ve seen agrees that the problems in the movies were not Ben Affleck’s fault), but you’re certainly not alone.  I thought the casting overall for these movies was pretty good - not you, Jesse - and that the actors did reasonably good jobs with lousy

Sure the rest of the world liked obama, but tjhat was because he kept apologizing to them, bowing to foreign leaders, and otherwise destroyed America’s image around the world.

I find it fairly easy to empathize with him. He was coming off of his grand comback as a director and actor with Argo after years of being the butt of jokes about Daredevil, Gigli, and his relationships. Here he was, seemingly back on top, with a second chance to make a good comic book movie. South Park even dedicated

PUT WILLIAM SHATNER IN THE SUIT YOU COWARDS.

You may already know this, but Zemeckis and Gale won’t even allow a BTTF revival to happen as long as they are alive (and Zemeckis was talking about having his estate prevent it afterward, if possible). And really, bless them for that.

So you’re reading a reveiw of a show you don’t like just so you can go the comments to let everyone know how much you don’t like it? You must be real fun at parties.

to be honest you could say the same of most trek series, plotholes, acting etc. People remember tng for its later seasons, so go and watch season 1. Check worf, little substance apart from grumpy, check picard, not that much except grumpy against kids, check riker, well pretty boy a recurring redshirt.
