The Girl in the Fireplace (S02E04) is one of my favorites. Funny, surreal, and Sophia Myles is certainly easy on the eyes. It won a Hugo back in 2007.

Start with An Unearthly Child, and go from there.

John Christopher's "The Tripods" trilogy. I had no idea what it was about when I starting reading the first book ("The White Mountains".) By the time I finished the third book my mind was blown. Just an utterly terrific dystopian series before it was even 'cool' to be dystopian.

I don't blame him, he probably couldn't stand to get any closer to those rotting, two-month old pumpkins.

Make it a spinoff. Have the show run by someone other than RTD/Moffatt — she doesn't need to be in love with all of her companions. I would totally be down with watching Romana galavant across the universe.

I was just thinking the same thing....
