Your predictions are painful for me, because they make me want to throw my money at my screen.

Don't say you're excited about the Xbox One! Don't you know that no one on the internet likes this console? It is a FAILURE and a DEAD SYSTEM and MS IS THE DEVIL.

Not that that isn't cool, but that doesn't necessarily protect those who purchased a physical copy of a game, and you're still running into the issue of having to upgrade if you don't meet minimum requirements. That is a nice feature to have on all digital games, though.

I would like to compliment you and Casen for having a console and PC discussion without trying to kill each other. This was nice to read.

I wanted to say this myself, but didn't feel like dealing with all the angry PC gamers. This isn't a console vs. PC discussion (it will probably turn into one, though), but it's something I like to bring up when discussing the advantages of a console (which admittedly are fewer).

Perhaps you're simply not particularly good at writing in a sarcastic manner? Sarcasm is difficult to detect when spoken, and it's even harder to write correctly. Either way, debating with someone, who clearly isn't illiterate, about whether or not they're illiterate, makes you look like you're just making ad hominem

I dunno, while it would certainly garner some goodwill (and I do like your idea, to a point), I think that it would reflect poorly on them for a lot of people. For gamers who are undecided between a PS4 0r XB1 (assuming this press release was for the current console), this would probably push a lot of them to the PS4;

If by "illiteracy," you don't mean that word at all, then yes. And if DR3 was the only reason you were ever going to purchase an XB1, I'm pretty certain MS couldn't care less about losing your business; most people don't base their purchase of a console off of one launch title.

I agree with you. I think that if you're a PC gamer, you're more likely to be pulled towards the premier shooter franchises are PC, using kb/m, and if you game on console, your interests go more towards console FPS (with a controller). I've done both (I used to be pretty good with the railgun in Quake 3), and while

I would assume this is your attempt to troll, but I've got the time, so I'll respond. If you buy a console based on one game, not only is that pretty stupid (few games are worth $400-500), but even then, it's hard to believe that game would be Dead Rising 3. And your opinion that "FPS can suck a dick too" is

Yeah, that's possible too. I'd just be highly surprised if they released Halo 5 (for example) on PC, regardless of budgetary issues.

It did already happen, earlier today. ;)

I would imagine that MS only does this (releases on PC later on) for the "exclusives" that they figure they can afford to lose. If they gave up Halo and Gears, two of their biggest exclusives (Halo being one of the crown jewels of exclusive console games), they'd be making a pretty good argument for just skipping Xbox

Wait...you thought the reason to buy the XB1 was Dead Rising 3?

True story! But I'll probably do it anyway... :\

I'm not sure that's "lol" worthy; it's just a few games that haven't yet been released. 99% of the rest of the list is "yes," just like it is with Sony.

Honestly, you don't have to sell me on it; I could tell it was a cool game, it really was just about not being able to get into the combat. I still have the game, I just have a backlog of a bunch of other stuff too, so I haven't gotten to it.

I think he just meant that it's really cool that they gave Obama, the President of the US, a copy of a pretty serious videogame. I think it's a cool move, too.

I'm sad to say that I'm (so far) right there with you. I played about...10 or 15 minutes into the game, and then gave up (this happened a couple times). I'd just come from playing Dark Souls, and I just really didn't like how the Witcher's combat felt. I'm still hoping to get back into it.

I guess I was never particularly convinced they shut out used games completely, so that part never particularly worried me. I also figured that they'd do some type of workaround for people who didn't have internet all the time. Now, I don't really rent or buy used games that often, and my internet is always up, so I
