Yeah, I'm thinking about it. I figure I probably won't play forever, and a couple months of play = $30 more, so if I can get my money's worth in those couple months, and move onto a new game after, no harm done.

I think the price issue is more related to the $15/mo. they're going to charge to play. It's the only thing currently giving me pause.

I'm pretty much done with this argument since I don't need to defend my preferences, but again, you can't sell me on replacing the internals of my PC, because I'm simply not interested. It's not circular logic, because my motivation to replace components doesn't increase just because they're being placed on my

Look, it's becoming increasingly obvious that you're not interested in anyone's opinion but your own (which is fine, I can be like that sometimes too), but at the end of the day, your blanket statements are still wrong, because you're arguing your opinion vs. someone else's. You're asking me to explain why PC gaming

The media-center comment is in comparison to the PS4. Given that you don't care about consoles in general, there's no real reason to go more in-depth about this.

You've been more than happy to point out that I haven't said anything in defense of the Xbox One. But you haven't said anything concrete against it, either.

Yeah, it's definitely kind of disappointing. When I purchase a new console, I rarely play new games from an older gen, but there are still a few things for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 that I'd like to have the option of playing on PS4/Xbox One. At the very least, it would be nice if these games were available for

I guess we're not going to see eye to eye on this, which is fine. I used the term "hating" as an offhand colloquialism, not to literally mean you feel hatred towards the Xbox One (I sincerely hope you don't, as no one should feel hatred towards an inanimate object). The point I was making is that while you might think

I'm not giving you advice, I'm just telling you the guy did not ask for you to put down his choice in gaming systems. Also, this being hypocritical would imply that I'd ever said the things you're claiming about the PS3 and Japanese gaming, which I didn't (while I didn't love my PS3, Japanese-style games tend to be my

There should also be a name for people who give their unsolicited "advice" to others on the internet. It's usually just a way to pass off veiled insults towards whomever you don't agree with. If someone says they're going to buy an XB1 and play Titanfall, that's not necessarily an invitation to explain why a PS4 or PC

While I agree with the spirit of what you've said, I actually thought Halo 4 was one of the better games in franchise (although maybe that's because a bunch of 343 employees are ex-Bungie).

Agreed. This is one of my favorite games all time, and my favorite RPG. I have it on the SNES, PS1 and GBA, and I think the new art style is perfectly acceptable.

I thought I read somewhere that the first-named game in each series always sold better (Black & White, X & Y, etc.); if so, X selling better would be in keeping with that idea.

Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to being able to play games while my girlfriend dominates the television. I've heard good things about ZombiU, and I LOVE WindWalker, so I can't wait to play the remaster either.

I don't deny having the second screen has potential, but realistically, how often is this going to be a properly implemented feature in a game?

I agree. I plan on getting a PS4 at some point, so the issue isn't which console it's on; I would just feel better if it were a multiplat because there'd be that many more chances for it to actually make money this time around. I'd hate for it to only come out on one system, and then bomb.

I'm not sure what type of evidence you're looking for. I can give you what (limited) anecdotal evidence I have in regards to the Wii's online infrastructure—The network itself was always pretty slow when I was on it, which was mostly for firmware updates/VC game downloads (slow updates are something Sony/the PS3 were

I dunno, Nintendo is pretty bad with online. Just recently they had to limit access to their network (specifically the eShop) because too many people got 3DSes and WiiUs for Christmas, and their network couldn't handle the load. There was an app that came up the day after Christmas (Dec. 26th), I think, called Pokemon

I wouldn't call the Kinect useless, nor would I say it sucks. I'd say there's room for improvement, and it certainly can sometimes be frustrating.

Panasonic has THX certified plasmas for their image. If you pull up the picture settings, you're given a "THX" and "THX Bright Room" mode, both of which give you THX-certified image quality (bright room obviously being a brighter picture than standard THX mode). Both modes are fantastic.
