@ShinLord: I swear Nintendo uses some early prototype of the technology for Neon Genesis's EVAs.

So what you're saying is that Grand Theft Auto 3 (released just one suspicious month after 9/11) could in fact have been the Bin Laden's evil plot brought to completion, in full video game form! Clearly he meant to kill more hookers.

@My Little Metroid: I have an incredible urge to go out and find a new copy of Grim Fandango right now.

@SmurfySmurfington: Part of the "hardcore" elitist stuff comes from a fear of losing our games. In the last 5-10 years the number and type of people playing video games has exploded. And most of these new gamers are playing very different types of games from what we've all grown up with. We've gone from being the

@Edix: While I'm sure our differences of opinions here can't be entirely reconciled, I do maybe agree with some of what you've said, but not how it applies to this specific situation.

@karmakazenz1: The government says "We'll charge you this much to operate here" so you operate, however when time comes to pay, they tell you "Oh actually you owe us this much more, failure to pay will result in criminal charges".

@Mr.CardHolder and Mr.Doe: The investors are the people who gave leave for the corporation's existence. You get no say in something you've never contributed to. However, replace "Corporations" in your first statement with "Governments" and maybe you're on to something.

@LordChris915: The bloody tax cuts aren't just for Activision! They are for video game makers in the UK in general! At the bottom of the article, a corporation that ISN'T Activision says the tax cuts could result in more than 3500 new jobs! Who's keeping who out of work?

@Edix: It's funny how you say "Everyone has to pay their fair share" but really you mean, the well off have to pay to the poor. Greater need does NOT equal greater right. As scummy as he is, it's not Bobby Kotick's fault that he's infinitely more successful than you or I are. It sucks to lose your job for sure,

@scrapking: Not to mention that the loss of mass sales of Activision products would hurt their own economy, nor that it would set a horrible precedent which would likely result in even more people choosing not to develop in the UK. Or that it would increase crime, because anything prohibitted gets smuggled in

@Jezuz: You know, it's not just tax breaks for Activision, right? It's for all video game makers.

Does the dude at 6:23 lose his pants in the crash?

Modern Dwarf-are?

@expansionsss - the jaded gamer: I played my share of WoW, and a number of other MMO's, but none elicit as fond memories as Lord of the Rings Online. It's a loving recreation of a (currently expanding) chunk of Middle Earth. It's greatest strength, in my opinion, is the many ways to spend your time doing things
