I've noticed that too often traffic takes the shortest route, even if it means clogging up a medium density street that runs parallel to an avenue.

Went to that link... you're*
Threat is all there is. No actual attack, but the threat of monsters or whatever is what makes horror work.
Except that's not what he thinks. He thinks you shouldn't buy it yet.
Yea, an offline mode would have definitely been a better decision just for the publicity and sales. Without knowing more about who (suits or developers) really made the final call on the offline mode, it's just speculation.
Ok, thanks for elaborating. After what has happened since release, it's pretty hard for me to keep with this line of reason, but! playing the game has made me hate the DRM less. If we ignore the server and bug issues (which is freaking awful), the game is completely different when you have a working connection to…
If every game was online only? Yes, that would be a regression. If you don't want an online-only game, don't buy it. The game is basically built around playing with other people in your region.
I'm not sure we can call that "not much" without a better understanding of how the engine and the server/client interactions are handled. Each agent may send a few bytes of data to the server, the server does a certain amount of calculation, then sends just a few bytes back. 100 MB could be a lot, or it could be not…
Well, I had typed a response, but Kinja ate it when I wanted to copy from an earlier comment.
No one writes articles about anything with zero negative commentary. They're writers, that's what they do. I hate DRM just as much as every other gamer and it definitely is a negative mark on any game I may buy, but it isn't a deal breaker. Diablo 3 sucked, but the DRM was maybe 10% of the reason I stopped playing.…
The thought of plain ice cream is terrifying.
How is it a disaster? There are a group of people having issues, but Mike had no issues once the download was complete (I'm sorry if downloads aren't instant yet). I'd say it was more of a 3, but this is all circumstantial evidence.
And what a hero you are for not buying it!
Sacrifice? Are you serious? This is a video game, not collecting tin cans for the war effort.
Hush. You're not allowed to point out the logical evolution of gaming for the masses. EA is evil and only the true and pure gamers are allowed to enjoy PC games.
Why does it bother you so much what other people do with their own money? Are you really that cynical? The beauty of living in this age is variety. If you don't want DRM, don't buy the game. But if someone else doesn't mind and wants the game, lay the fuck off.
Can you manage all three cities in a region on your own?
Yea I can agree with that. Hopefully it means that the story is so good that it would be difficult to write branching storylines without cheapening the overall narrative.
Good point, but I think that's totally OK in a good game. Lots of focus is put on replayability but, to be honest, even games with tons of replay value I never play a second time.
That's not a fact. You may think it's all about the carrot on a stick, but why does it have to be? Many people, basically anyone still playing GW, think that an MMO can be fun to play just one or two hours a day, and that players with less free time shouldn't be at a significant disadvantage because of it.
