Ah yes, now it's coming back to me. I do remember it being quite a bit easier to flip over and burn to death in BF2. I would imagine this change was to move towards the more casual player as well as a result of developing for consoles.

I have, but it was a long time ago (obviously) and I forget the differences really. I play on PC with a joystick, so it's pretty rewarding and fun as it is.

Lowering the price defeats the purpose of cutting out SP. You are moving resources from SP to MP to make it better, but you drop the price? It's either/or and with no shortage of bodies to throw at the game, EA can just keep the price where it is and have both developments running side by side.

Better looking, better optimized, hopefully fewer bugs by release. It's the natural progression of things, 3 years will bring up the "standard" hardware quite a bit. Not to mention next gen consoles will raise the minimum specs they design for.

I agree in spirit, but it's still unparalleled. BC2 is more complete, BF3 is more... specific? They are different enough that they aren't parallel. Which one is "better" is a matter of opinion.

I could actually agree with that. I love BF3 but have never even opened the SP. Just got around to playing the coop a week ago and actually really enjoyed it, but SP, not so much.

Dirt 3's rally stuff was good. Way better than Dirt 2. If you don't like the Gymkhana stuff I can understand, but the legit rally stuff wasn't bad. Dirt 4 should be awesome.

Agreed. I guess we can hope that the way it's set up is more a factor of time constraints and more involved co-op missions could be future DLC that doesn't suck. More likely they will just wait until the next game though.

Ah, I've played through 1 and 2 plenty of times so I'm not too worried about that aspect. I'm more interested in the discount that is applied to 3.
