They also seemed to be the first to understand the backseat is kinda important. That extra few inches of cushion and leg room was what initially sealed the deal for me when I traded my F150 in on my first 1500 RAM.

They are as plentiful up my way as XJs and Subies. I have 2 of them myself - ‘99 1500 and ‘01 2500. Cummins-powered ones still pull a premium almost 20 years later. I see more of them than I do Ford or GM trucks of the same vintage (we don’t see many Asian trucks so won’t bother including them).

I had the same issue with my Eagle sedan. Swapped in the mechanical shifter and linkage (with modifications) from an XJ. While we were at it, we put in the 5sp from the XJ in to replace the 4 sp that had bad syncros. Beast was unstoppable. Unfortunately iron oxide was more unstoppable :(
