I worked at a gas station for about 5 years part-time in NH. About once a week the pumps - especially in Jan\Feb when it was sub-zero out - would drop to a crawl. We’d power off and back on the turbine (pump) and things would be fine for another 7-10 days. We had our tanks and equipment PM’d quarterly by corporate

“Asphyxiation” is what I assume you were trying for - oxygen deprivation - and not “affixation”  which is a language deviation like adding “er” to “write.”

Yeh, the only issues I’ve had with 3.7/4.7 is the dreaded P030X codes. Time to swap plugs, coils, and if the miles are up there, might have to pop off the valve cover to replace lash adjusters.

The 318 is (rightly so) a legend, but the OHC motors aren’t too bad. I had one 3.9 xcab Sport, that was a good truck too.

Hence the quotes around “get something.”

Agreed. Additionally, it is really a tax. Personally, it’s a bit less painful paying it 1) voluntarily 2) while playing a simple game and 3) the remote hope of getting something out of it. Yeh, I know that we “get something” for our other taxes, too...

My friend’s daughter has one with 221k on it. Still going.

Had one, swapped in the 5-speed and NP231 out of an XJ, replaced the stupid plastic valve cover with an early metal one, and drove the snot out of it until it rusted away. I look from time to time and think about another one. It will happen one day.

Came here to say this. You beat me to it.

For trips that require checking baggage, don’t cut it close. And whatever you do, don’t rely on the JFK air train to get you where you’re going on time.

There, FIFY.

Agree, and I’ll take this one step further. Most buyer really don’t care WHAT they buy as long as they get something that fits their basic needs, is in the right price point (overall or payment), and has enough things to make them feel like they are keeping up with the masses as far as toys go.

All over the kitchen? You mean all over the kitchen, dining room, bed room upstairs, the garage, the neighbor’s kitchen...
If we ever get invaded, I’m skipping grenades and just gonna toss some Crazy Daisies and Butterfly Gold plates at the enemy. Will cut them to ribbons...

And you know damn well he’s smiling his ass off the entire time.

I originally thought you were being a bit difficult, but reading this last response, you have won me over. I agree with you on all points. It comes down meat of her message isn’t flawed, it’s the delivery that needs to be fixed. Fixing it won’t win over the Fox News Fan Club but it might win over the moderates that

Looks like it’s mom had sex with the new Siverado.

Michele Mouton drove one, all other points are inconsequential...

I’m surprised it doesn’t have numbers on the doors and livery. The ones around here do.

I think the best would let it shut down. A large chunk of his base depend on the government operation for their pensions, health care, and salaries. Yes, they will blame the Democrats because that’s what they do, but compared to the damage their racist, misogynistic, and give-all-to-Wall-Street moves to this point has

Someone forgot to tell northern New England that winter is going away. Fourth snow since mid-October, hasn’t broken 20F this week.

I stand corrected, I went off this article and not the original. Either way, still would be nice if this one distinguished the right Portland. The original does.

Maine’s is the 7th busiest in New England, which doesn’t mean much I agree, but the article wasn’t the busiest, it’s the best\worst. PMW is much more pleasant than Logan, JFK, Newark (ok, a sewer is better than Newark), BWI, RDU, Reagan, and Dulles... all which I’ve passed through in the last 6 months.
