Life-long NASCAR fan here and just when I think that Brian France can’t do anything stupider than what he already has, he has to show me up.

Nope. That will always be there to be used whenever Dale Jr. starts fading due to an issue with his car.
A lot of this IMHO was ruled by the legal agreement with TG. They couldn’t do the SIARPC segments, or anything that remotely resembles them. Therefore, they attempt an interview and kill off the interviewee. They can’t have a silent driver, so they get one that won’t be quiet.
We had a case a little like this, but without the abuse a couple of years ago here in Texas. Mark Cuban’s BIL owns a traveling team and he flies them all over the world to play in tournaments.
If it had been me, I would have pulled much closer to the car after he hit the guardrail. Then again, the guy probably didn’t expect to run off again!
Absolutely an inside job. Someone had to provide them with the correct documentation to allow them to go in twice and get these trailers that quickly.
So how many of these tailgate contraptions on the Chevys are going to get damaged by people who have trailer hitches mounted on their trucks? Looks like just the perfect spot for it to hit!
Looks to me as if VW should have had some type of tracking on who was selling the vehicles back to them. If, for example, “John Smith” sells them more than say 3, they need to check it out and possibly report it to the IRS since he may be a dealer.
It is the whole time value of money. Sure, these people might get $ 15K when they sell the car, but that might take a year or more. They have this guy offering them, say, $ 7,500 right now. They may have bills to pay right now and that money now is more important that the larger amount in a year or so.
I have to say that I side with Hyundai on this issue. The first time that they repaired it, it was truly as a warranty. When it happened a second time, then they probably did it just as a courtesy to the customer. Now that it has happened again and appears to be continuing to happen, they can’t just continue to repair…
That was actually one of my first thoughts when I saw this....
Long-time NASCAR fan here. I used to plan my weekends around when the race was on. I didn’t watch a single race last year, with the exception of the Duck Commander 500 that I got free tickets for.
As I mentioned on the previous post, I would be interested to see the default rate on this vehicles after this is tested. IMHO the people using this service would be the ones who are not very credit-savvy and have credit issues. They will be the ones who are in Wal-Mart and just decide to do this in order to see what…
IMHO F1 does it the best. Like you said, unless the race was in the US or Asia, they all started at the same time and the same channel. You didn’t have to worry about where this week’s race was being shown.
Let me see....
So we are taking a sport that is already 3-4 hours each weekend and do something that will add another 30-45 minutes (or maybe more) to each race? Every other sport is looking at things that they can do in order to speed up the play. NASCAR is doing the complete opposite.
This is the best news that I have heard today!
It IS the only place in many towns after they have run out all of the competition!
I would be interested to see the default rate on these cars after they try this out. Like you, I believe that a lot of this will be impulse buyers who decide to check on the computer and see if they can get a loan. It won’t be people who properly check their credit scores and their budget to see if they can afford a…
This is pretty interesting. There was a show that I saw about it. I believe it may have been the Discovery Channel or something. Showed how they did this.
