A victim's actions are definitely not the only part of the puzzle here. As you said, the rapist's actions are by far the most important factor. But since we are unable to control the actions of other people, sadly the only thing we can do is take precautions ourselves. It's no guarantee to keep you 100% safe, but it's

You're right, you might as well get killed because if you protect yourself and take precautions he'll just kill someone else who didn't care to.

That is true, it isn't guaranteed that if you take precautions nothing will happen to you. But it's better to have a fighting chance than none at all.

I weigh 130 lbs. I would get my ass kicked by just about anybody. I take the same precautions that anyone else should. I would not dare walk home alone from a bar without a weapon on me.

The cab was one example. There's plenty of other things you could do to stay safe. Walk with a friend, learn self-defense, carry a weapon, pepper spray, taser, etc.

Yes I fucking can. There is a very big difference between responsibility and fault. Just because you could have done something to prevent a tragedy does not mean that the tragedy is your fault. To think otherwise would be idiotic.

We are not always at fault for what happens to us, but we are always responsible for our own actions.

There's three variables at work here. The criminals, the police, and you. You can't change the fact that criminals exist. Apparently the police don't listen, so good luck getting them to change their behavior. The only factor left that can be changed is you and your actions.

YES. Thank you. The attitude that we aren't responsible for our own safety sure as hell doesn't help prevent people from becoming the victims of terrible crimes. You can't push all the responsibility onto other people, it's a recipe for disaster. Police can help at times, but they're no Superman.

Taking a cab when you have to get home alone at night isn't a bad idea. You are the only person on earth who is responsible for your own safety. It is unrealistic to expect that police can protect you at every corner. Anyone calling in threats of violence to the police is going to get ignored. Unless there is a clear

As I have always said, "You buy a Ferrari when you want to be somebody, and you buy a Lamborghini when you are somebody. You buy a Maserati when you're too classy to care about all that nonsense."

I'm pretty sure Jaguar nicked those wheels from a Spyker.

Red trimmed interior FTW.

Because I'm a classy motherfucker.

Doctors also claim to not be biased towards different drug companies.

""show too much skin," according to the Islamic Kingdom's laws."

Lest we forget.

Haha, that's really cute.

Change your attitude.
