There was talk in the 70s about creating the state of Superior, consisting of the entire UP and a dozen or so counties from Wisconsin. Given the current political climate in Wisconsin, I bet you could get quite a few of those Wisconsin counties to join the effort.

Haha, no problem. I've actually been in a similar situation, off-roading in Silver Lake Dunes in Michigan. Had the tires of my LR Discovery at about 12 psi, and a guy convinced me to try his little 12V compressor, it was absolutely futile.
Why "near worthless"? I keep a cheap Campbell-Hausfeld tankless compressor in the back of my car, it's been a lifesaver for me and several other people I've helped out, even if it's just to get enough air into the tire to get them to the next service station.

I used to off-road a LR Discovery with a 4" lift kit. I never had to worry about replacing parts, because parts on a Land Rover don't break! And your lack of knowledge about the brand is obvious, because there is nothing on a Land Rover that is difficult to replace. They think of everything, to the point that the fuel…
