the kids and i went to my bestie's house today, and we grilled whole rainbow trout (that she and her daughter caught themselves). we did some with lemon pepper and garlic, and some with a cajun spice blend. we also made a big pan of roasted veggies .

My pathetic dinner was a result of me skipping out on buying groceries: the last leftover turkey meatball in the fridge with red sauce and romano cheese and crushed up crackers (I had nothing else). Then, instant ramen. Ugh. Don't want to talk about it.

Frozen pierogies and broccoli. Easy 10 minute dinner, because at 4pm the realization we forgot to defrost the chicken moved chicken francese night to tomorrow.

SO glad that it's Sunday! After an awful week (many connections with Boston, though I don't live there now) I spent last night celebrating my birthday with friends. We got stupidly drunk and visited dive bars in my neighborhood, and it turned out that the second place was having karaoke night - the best.

I went out for Mexican for lunch, so wanted a light dinner. So, I'm having some Greek yogurt with honey and blackberries, an avocado, and some chips and salsa verde. It's a pretty delicious dinner.
