Dammit, just noticed the mention of the low sugar, my suggestion is a fail.

Caramel with cashew is always good, or anything will a little salt. I've been meaning to try a pretzel/graham cracker pie crust for a while, I bet that would work nicely.

I had a similar boyfriend. I waited YEARS for him to get it together (my own fault/choice) and he never did. Without going into a War and Peace length story, I'll just say that I was never able to help him get it together, and in a lot of ways he dragged me down. It ended really badly. You sound like you really care

Have fun and report back!

I have absolutely no idea about the legality of this, but I would want someone to warn me if I was in danger. I wonder if there is some way to anonymously clue her in?

Chocolate mostly, and salt (ideally via chips or saltines). My uterus is such a traitor.

Thank you! I cordially invite you to have dinner with my family who are always insisting that I will be hired if I constantly harass people.

Are you serious?? That is some truly fearless douchebagery.

While I've certainly had my fair share of unpleasant customers while serving/bartending, nothing ever compared to the degrading/disrespectful/generally gross behavior of the management. I have left the industry and sworn to never go back, which I am very happy about, but I'm still looking for another job......

1) As someone who just hauled ass to the dryer to pull out a pair of real pants to answer the door (I was festooned in my boyfriend's tshirt and really ugly underwear), I thank you for this.

Yeah, doing the dishes is ranked waaaaaaay too low on this list. I'd rather chop wood while covered in spiders than do dishes.

My thought exactly.

"bag a six-footer" is making me gag and laugh at the same time.

Hands down the best roasted chicken recipe I have ever made. I would definitely recommend this. The bread salad was also amazing.

mmmmm green chiles.

Thank you, that sounds wonderful. I will definitely give that a try.

I love Pinterest. I made this recently http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/04/crock-pot-buffalo-chicken-lettuce-wraps.html it was absolutely delicious. For the dressing I just combined blue cheese crumbles, low fat sour cream, salt and pepper.

smittenkitchen is awesome, enjoy. I have been wanting to try crock pot oatmeal. What type of oats do you use? I make mine in the microwave (lame) and flavor it with apple butter, it would be great to just do a big batch at once

I love Sunday dinner thread, so I'm asking yet again...what did you cook/are you cooking tonight? I'm taking a stab at this http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2008/12/zuni-cafe-roast-chicken-bread-salad/

I second this. People can grieve so differently, I bet it would be really helpful to talk it out with someone who is removed from the strong emotions of this situation. I'm so sorry for your loss, and I hope everything works out.
